The UCI Trials World Cup of Walbrzych starts tomorrow Friday May 31st with the qualification round of the 20 and 26 inch. There are 81 pilots on the entries list from 14 European countries.
Unfortunate 2 world champions are absent. Gemma Abant in the Womens Elite category and Benito Ros in the 20″ category. Also there is no Italian rider present, this hasn’t been the case for a long time! Kenny Belaey, still recovering from his injury isn’t present either as well as Aurélien Fontenoy who is in the US. Iciar VandenBergh who is on the entries list also informed us he cannot make it to Poland. Iciar has a Pattelar tendon tendonitis which is causing him issues for the last two months and decided not to compete so the rest of the season is not at risk.
Although Poland organises the event, there is no Polish rider at the entries list! A pity as there always have been great champions in this country. The Czech neighbors on the other and will be present with 6 riders!
The French and Germans have the most riders present, followed by the Suiss in 3rd place but far behind France and Germany.
8 Women elite, 29 Elites 20 inch and 44 Elites 26 inch.
