Unfortunately the professional competition trial sport is widely unknown in Berlin. To change this, the experienced rider Frank Drygalla organized the Trials Cup Berlin as a first step to bring the sport into the public awareness. And this was a huge success!
Last weekend 59 riders from all over Germany as well as from Belgium and Poland found their way into the heart of Berlin to the “Berliner Fahrrad Schau” which is an independent trade fair for bicycle culture and lifestyle. The five ambitious sections of the Trials Cup were spread over the whole fair and the riders were seen by more than 15.000 visitors.
The reactions of the riders and visitors were extremely positive. Many riders confirmed their wish to repeat this event in the next year. Frank and his team hope that they will get the support again to build diversified sections at the “Berliner Fahrrad Schau” 2015 and to attract more international riders.
“The organization of the event was incredibly complex and nerve-racking, especially since there is no Trials Club in Berlin with a solid competition infrastructure. But I’m absolutely happy with the result and grateful for the help of my friends and supporters” said Frank.
