Mike Steidley, 11x US national Champion recently traveled to France to do some riding and filming, we caught up with Steidley to get his thoughts on the trip.
Trial Inside: So give us a recap of what you did on this trip:
Mike Steidley: I shot over to France and spent some time riding with the Fontenoy brothers and we put on the GRE Pro Session event. The airline lost my bike for the first few days I was there but still had a great trip. After the GRE session Aurelien and I went down to the south of France to check out some of his training spots.

TI: do you feel about the level in France?
MS: The riding level in France is amazing, so many good riders, trials parks and people enthusiastic about the sport. In the USA the scene doesn’t have nearly as many riders that train and focus strictly on trials. Its great motivation to ride with riders that are past my skill level and take riding so seriously. I’m already trying to figure out my next trip.!
TI: And how about the spots you guys rode in?
MS: We hit a good amount of spots and trials parks. Aurelien had the places dialed and pulled some amazing moves. We shot a bit of video for a small web series I am doing this year and you can check out these videos
