Peter Verhoeven from “Wielerbond Vlaanderen” and Ronny Belaey National Trial Coach took the initiative to start with a national Trials Training program in Belgium. The program is to improve the level of the young Belgian riders participating at the UCI Trials World Youth Games and our Junior and female riders participating at the World Cup events. Wesley Belaey and Iciar Van Den Bergh are the 2 trainers.
Yesterday, Saturday February 23rd was the first training in an old factory near Charleroi. It is the winter training location for the Kangourous and Roberto Timelinni was kind enough to host the first training as it still is wintertime in Belgium with cold weather and snow.
12 riders are selected for this national training program:
Women: Coen Charlotte Devahive Perrine Defraiteur Aurore.
Youth: Leonard Romain Marechal Eliott Philippin Hobie Le Cloirec Tom Lassance Romain Coulée Tim
Juniors: Senden Maxime Dubois Damon Grommerch Bastien
A training sessions are planned throughout the year each time at a different location.
