Last Sunday it was the 3rd round of the Trials Belgian Pro Series in Kluisbergen. The site in Kluisbergen, where in 2005 the European Championship was held, has a combination of natural sections and artificial sections. Also the layout of the terrain makes it a physical competition, the riders have to do quite a bit of climbing on foot to go from one section to the other. Ronny Belaey is responsible for building the sections so the sections were quite long an difficult as well.
Vincent Hermance was one of the international riders present and took the victory in the elite category. He cleaned almost all section with the exception of the first section where he 5-ed the first two rounds but was able to finishe the section with 2 penalty points in the 3rd round. Belgian Champion Iciar Vandenbergh became 2nd and Thijs Verhoeven completed the podium in 3rd place. Pierre-Charles Thomas, who was in 2nd place after the 1st round had to abandon after a crash at the end of the 2nd round. He fell on his left hand and had quite a bit of pain and decided not to take any chances and put the rest of the season at risk.
In the womens category Perrine Devahive claimed another victory. Aurore Defraiteur was 2nd as the week before in Bilstain. Charlotte Coen finished 3rd.
