On Saturday March 16th the first round of the Nord German championship took place in Stadtlohn. The organisers did a great job organising a trial at a high level despite of the winter conditions. Fortunate the weather was good so they could start the comptitions with the sections as they were build. So he first round of the Nord German championship had 11 sections.
Hannes Herrmann wins the Elite category.
In the elite category the victory goes to the Crewkerz rider Hannes Hermann before Stefan Lange (Inpulse) and Wolfgang Wenzel. It has to be noted that a number of riders were absent beacuse they were ill like Rico Baak and Marc Schröder, who would normally be present. This explains why there were only 6 riders at the start.
Despite his 2nd place, Stefan Lange takes the lead in the general classification of the NDM as Hannes Herrmann comes from the ODM he is not classified in the general classification of the NDM.
The highlight of the day was the first international competition for the high end bike of the new brand Crewkerz. Hannes Herrmann used the Cleep in this competition. Hannes only received the bike from the French manufacturer only 2 days before the competition. It was also the first competition he rode this bike. But the bike has been excellent for Hannes (See the presentation video) which allowed him to win his first competition with a comfortable gap.
Nils Riecker wins the junior category
Niels Riecker is already in good shape. He wins with a nice advantage over Luke Koppe and Henri Tredup.
Victory for Marie-Sophie
By winning Marie-Sophie Stauch shows that she is ready for her first World Cup in Heubach. She wins her category with 40 points advance over Jonas Hoffmann and Paul Hoefs.
