BIU 2014: Rules and News

BikeTrial 2014 rules provides the new Elite Femina and Girls Category. For the first time in the World BikeTrial Championship, will be possible have 2 different level of difficulties on the BikeTrial sections: Girls on tradictional “Orange” sections and Elite Femina on the “Blue” sections like “Minime”.

If you are interested to compete in the new Elite Femina don’t forget to ask to your National Delegate to send request to BIU Technical Group.

This is the point C from article 11:

Elite Femina

Minimum 14 years of age in the current year. The riders must ask to Technical Group to participate in Elite Femina. Minimum of 4 participants in the final ranking.
Minimum of 2 Country in the final ranking. Elite Femina compete on Blue sections.

Girls

There will be one category with a handicap. Minimum of 4 participants in the final ranking. Minimum of 2 Country in the final ranking.
(It will apply according to age). In this system, the older riders will have a higher handicap and vice versa.
(multiplied by the final score).
Refer to the chart below:
Age Handicap
16 years old and up x1.3
13, 14 and 15 years old x1.2
10, 11 and 12 years old x1.1
7, 8 & 9 years old x1.0
Results will be applied as follows:
58 points x1.3=75.4 (Round to one decimal place).
If Elite Femina or Girls don’t reach the minimum numbers , there will be only one category with girls category rules named “Femina“.
